Located facing Palmerston Park, Rathmines the project called for the provision of a new three storey addition to and internal renovation of the existing three storey semi-detached house a protected structure with a re-modelled landscape to the front and rear. The demolition of an existing mews house and the construction of two new mews houses in lieu in the rear garden facing onto Palmerston Lane. The new addition provided accommodation for a first floor conservatory over a kitchen that linked to a large partially sunken family garden room. A service area and gym were provided in the basement opening to a sunken courtyard set three metres below the garden level. The three bedroom mews houses were split level, two storeys to the front and three to the rear and set around a small internal courtyard linked to the stairwell.

Externally the addition to the existing structure was clad in bronze with low-level perimeter glazing around the family room affording discrete views to the garden. Internally the floors were polished concrete. The mews houses were expressed as an opaque brick volume that sat above a stone wall fronting to the laneway. The internal walls to the courtyard were glazed, all glazed sections and reveals were lined in bronze.
